Previously, Guinwa HQ shared ways to donate to Lebanon from abroad. Today, we’re sharing even more! From NGOs who rebuild and feed the community to small businesses, who had been the most affected, here’s how you can directly help – wherever you live!
Lara’s Kitchen
Creating fresh homemade meals in Lebanon, Lara Arbid has dedicated her kitchen to feed Lebanese hospitals.
You can donate to Lara’s Kitchen via PayPal here.
Watch “To Beirut (Lebanon)”
Ad revenue generated on YouTube will go to the Lebanese Red Cross and similar organizations.
Watch the video here. And don’t forget to share!
Kalei Coffee Co.
The café serves sustainably sourced coffee in Beirut. Donations go to rebuilding their coffee shop with additional funds to the Lebanese Red Cross.
Donate here.
Arab.org
Donating without money? Visit arab.org! You can select any cause and click. Ads generate money, which is then donated to the cause. Needless to say, every click is a donation.
World Central Kitchen
Based in New York, WCK delivers food to those in need. At the moment, they’re working on the ground in Beirut. You can help them continue the great work by donating stock, mailing a check, or via PayPal. To do so, click here.
You can also donate directly to WCK here.
Souk El Tayeb
Souk El Tayeb supports small-scale farmers. They work on both local and global projects. Currently, they’re working with WCK to deliver meals. And they also have their own fundraiser. Funds go to local hospitals, renovating the shop, kitchens, and offices! More than just repairing, funds also go towards covering the Tawlet and Souk El Tayeb operations for the upcoming months. This also helps to secure jobs for farmers, women and their families.
You can donate here.
The Arab Image Foundation
The Arab Image Foundation has a collection of over 500,000 documents on the Middle East and North Africa. Located in Beirut, the blast unfortunately also affected the AIF workspaces, library and storage room.
Help them restore their collection and workspaces by donating here.
If you’re travelling to Beirut, you can support them by bringing needed materials. Check out their official website for the list.
Save the Arts
The joint initiative of the Solidarity Fund to Arts and Culture Structures supports affected arts and culture organizations and spaces.
Go to the Fundraising Campaign for the Arts and Culture Community in Beirut to donate.
Saint Hoax x PLASTIK
Saint Hoax and PLASTIK set up a fundraiser for small businesses in Beirut.
You can donate here.
Baffa House
Baffa House is a boutique guesthouse in Beirut. The owner, Samer Ghorayeb has lost both his home and guesthouse. He started a fundraiser – in his own words – “to give my family a home again and my international family of guests their home back in the heat of Beirut.”
For more information and to donate, please go to gofundme.com/f/rebuilding-baffa-house/
Thank you for showing up to donate to Lebanon from abroad in whatever way you can!
