Today, at Guinwa HQ shares Guinwa’s easy, glowy morning skincare routine – from her cleansing trick and soothing face mist to her glowy, Vitamin C-enriched obsessions. For the best skincare, must-watch! If you haven’t seen it yet, tune it to Guinwa’s IGTV and check her skincare routine!

1. Cleanse and Tone

Forget soap and harsh face cleansers in the morning. Guinwa washes her face with just water, “the reason why is because every night I do a double-cleanse,” she notes as she moves on to toner. Applying the Pixi Vitamin C Tonic on a cotton pad, Guinwa reveals “I’m obsessed with anything that has Vitamin C in it. It does give a brightening effect, which I’m all about! It also has hyalronic acid in it, which is really good for your skin, but when I apply too much of it, I actually end up irritating my skin, so a little goes a long way. I also like to apply it to my neck as well.”

2. Mist

“I like applying Pixi Vitamin Wakeup Mist. It smells so good and it’s super hydrating. I make sure to apply this after the toner as sometimes toner removes the moisture and the mist puts a little bit of more moisture on your face.”

3. Serum

Starting with Drunk Elephant C-Firma™ Vitamin C Day Serum, “I go from the lightest consistency to the thickest consistency, applying a little bit on my hands and tapping it on my face,” Guinwa advises. “The reason why I like Vitamin C is not only because it has a brightening effect, but it’s also known to help protect your skin from UV light. I also notice when I do break out, Vitamin C helps. There’s so many benefits to it!”

4. Bronzy Glow

Mixing Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intense Hydration Serum with Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops for “a super nice and natural tan.” Guinwa adds, “I don’t like applying the drop by itself because the texture is weird to me. I like applying it with my serum to make it a little bit more hydrating.” The rule of thumb is 2 pumps of serum and 1 pump of the drop, “I guess you could say it’s fake tan,” she reckons. “Whatever excess products I have, I always apply it to my hands.”

5. Eye cream

“I always apply eye cream before moisturizer. I’ve been using Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado for over a year now and I absolutely love it! I learnt from an aesthetican to make sure to go in this specific motion [tapping from the inner corner of the eye outwards] rather than back and forth, because it helps depuff your eye area. I like applying the rest to my brow bone.”

6. Moisturizer

“I’ve been obsessed with the Tula moisturizer. I recently switched to it and I really really like it so far! It has probiotics, which is known to have great benefits to your skin and I’m all about that!”

7. Lip balm

“Next, I like to apply lip balm to my lips. I’ve been obsessed with Aquaphor lip balm. And that’s it. Now I’m ready for my day.”
